COMMON METHODS
The best method for you may be a combination of these plans, but here are some of the most common grey blending options
THE ROOTS TO FOILS
Instead of a root retouch, we do your usual retouch color but in foils. Over time, we switch to more spaced out foils or even balayage method. This method allows you to embrace some grey without feeling like you have a skunk stripe grow out. The foils can also reduce the amount of overall grey you have and help feel younger during the transition.
THE FOILS on FOILS on FOILS
We do a very heavy blonding foil to help lighten your color and work towards you being able to be done with coloring. This method is great for brunettes who are eager to get all grey faster.
THE GENTLE BLONDE
Each time you come in for your root touch up, we bump up the shade by a half step until you feel comfortable just letting it go. Generally this method is best for light brunettes/dark blondes.
THE FASHION STREAK
We stop coloring around your front hairline. How much depends on what you want! This allows you to have some fashion forward grey around your face without completely giving up the color you love. This can also lessen the feeling of needing a root touch up every 3 weeks. This option is a great choice for all colors!

This can vary widely and often depends on the method of grey blending we opt for. Generally, if your goal is all over natural with no coloring, you can generally expect 2-4 appointments, spaced over several months,
Can I go grey in one shot, like Sharon Osborne (or insert celebrity) did?
Technically, yes. However, this is a major specialty service that I do not provide. I choose not to do this largely because of the damage that is done to hair in such a quick process. If that is your goal, I can help refer you to another specialist. My methods are a bit more gradual, time and budget friendly. They also ensure the long term health of your hair.
